Project Leader
During his 25 year career in design and branding, Stephen has worked primarily in the consultancy business in a diverse range of industry sectors and applications for 3D design and branding, and a number of award winning design projects including The British Design Award, a Designers and Art Directors Silver award, and a Business Week award in 2002. More recently Stephen was a Client Director at Fitch, part of the WPP group and one of the largest global design consultancies. Stephen’s Higher Education experience includes six years at the highly respected Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication. Stephen has led many projects with external organisations including work with the BBC, Nokia, Mitsubishi, Kodak, Tate Modern and Marks & Spencer. He currently combines a major teaching input to the high profile design courses at Brunel, with leading the University’s role within Designplus.

Project Manager
Paula has worked within the design industry for 13 years for PDD, a successful product design consultancy, NCR’s e-commerce innovations group and BT’s Human Factors Unit. She is a specialist in people-centred design and has project managed research throughout the innovations process from concept generation to product launch. Paula has worked internationally for a wide spectrum of market sectors including consumer, technology, medical, financial, industrial and packaging brands. These include companies such as Sony Ericsson, Braun, Draeger, Hasbro and Autoglass. Her role within Designplus is to connect the University with industry through collaborative projects, inspiring events and professional development courses.

Karen joined Designplus in October 2009. Prior to this, she worked for 15 years in a variety of branding strategy, change management and marketing roles, for British Airways, Virgin Retail and WHSmiths. Her role is to work alongside Paula to establish collaborative projects, events and professional development courses.
