Brunel University has been successful in attracting support through the Economic Challenge Investment Fund (provided by the Higher Education Funding Council for England) to assist companies undertaking Designplus professional development workshops that are experiencing difficulties due to the economic downturn. This enables us to offer a 50% discount to successful applicants. The Fund is designed specifically for small and medium sized companies (i.e. those under 250 employees). Although open to all companies who can demonstrate that they have been badly affected by the downturn, applications are especially welcome from those in the science, technology, design and engineering sectors.
