Partnerships:  Which Brunel Design students shone brightest at ARC?

As part of an ongoing collaboration, Remote Control Lighting hosted the work of eleven Brunel Design students at the ARC Lighting Show at Earls Court in February 2010.

The students were asked to design an architectural lighting piece which is innovative either in its lighting effect, operation, mounting arrangement, or in the way it fits into its surroundings.

After a well-attended two days, the winning students were announced before the close of the show: Oscar Bowring’s theatre auditorium lighting and Unji Moir’s Lo Light, inspired by a love of the night sky.

Lighting company Ghidini have now approached Unji about developing the Lo Light design commercially, and Unji will take a prototype to the Light & Building Show 2010 in Frankfurt with Ghidini.
