Partnerships:  Brunel students help to measure design effectiveness in UK design agencies

Students completed short work placements within the design agencies helping and supporting the award submission.  Students played a key role in data analysis to help prove the commercial benefits of the design project.

“The DBA is delighted to be working with Brunel University and Designplus to provide student placements to our members completing Design Effectiveness Awards. As we represent some of the brightest and best design agencies in the UK, this is a great opportunity for students to experience the studio environment, and learn more about the measurement of the impact that design can have, whilst being an invaluable resource for our members to draw on additional support when compiling their entries. Brunel students have played an important part in several winning entries since we began working together, and we look forward to more success in the future”. (Natalie Maher, DBA)

“I spent an enjoyable time at Blue Marlin - I am planning to visit again for some help with my dissertation. Thank you for organising this for me, it was a great experience”. Penelope Bamford, Brunel Student 2011

Brunel will be participating in this initiative in 2012.  Please contact hello@designplus.org.uk  or see http://www.effectivedesign.org.uk/enter_2012_awards.php for more information
