Industrial Partnerships for Design Major Projects
Brunel University’s Product and Industrial Design courses are amongst the highest rated in the UK. Since 2004, Designplus has brought together students from these courses with industry partners to work on a huge range of Design projects.
This year we are working in partnership with over 20 companies from start-up to multinational corporations including Speedo, Heinz, Husky Retail, NCR Corporation, Guys and St Thomas’ and Morphy Richards. This work is undertaken by students as their final year ‘Major Project’ supported and guided by their supervising tutor between September 2011 and April 2012.
The value of this collaboration for industrial partners is an opportunity, not only to access talented design resource, but also to add considerable value to a student’s education and career prospects; to support the next generation of innovators.
The story of their journey and their final work will be displayed at the Made in Brunel exhibition in June 2012.
